Today’s society is shaped in many areas of social life by the dissolution of old and traditional continuities. The structure of the family has changed. Gender roles have transformed. Nevertheless it remains the locus of primary socialisation. Here the norms and values are communicated that shape people. Raising a child through the process of maturation brings with it new challenges in every developmental phase. Walking with families and supporting them as a positive source of ideas, creating community – this is what the Foundation SPI stands for in its work with and for families.
